Edel Byrne — Owner & Designer
My name is Edel Byrne and I am the owner and designer at EB Graphix. I grew up in Corduff, Co. Monaghan and moved to Donegal over 10 years ago. I love everything to do with art, design and technology.
About 12 years ago I got the opportunity to do a work placement in a small print and design company – Farney Print, based in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. From that first job I knew that design was all I would ever want to do!
I completed an Art & Design course in Monaghan Institute, followed by a Multi-Media course in Portadown, Co. Antrim. As part of that course I spent 2 months studying at one of Canada's leading media arts schools – The Harris Institute, Toronto. I then attended Letterkenny Institute of Technology where I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design.
After several years of working for others, I decided to set up my own business offering graphic design and web design services to SMEs in Ireland and the UK. I love the personal aspect of being involved with clients and helping them make the most out of their business through design.
